iRocker All-Around 10' INFLATABLE SUP REVIEW - 2021

We have been putting the iRocker All-Around 10 through the paces lately. iRocker is a relative newcomer in the SUP space but they’ve made quite a splash in the market with their massive web presence.

The All-Around 10 is iRocker’s middle-of-the-road board offering and sells for $699 on their website. iRocker often offers discounts for 2 boards. The All-Around comes with a fin, paddle, leash, backpack, and pump. You can also upgrade your board by purchasing one of their kayak seats and carrying straps.

As the name implies, the board is a great choice for all types of waterways: flatwater, surf, and river. The 10-foot size makes the board very versatile as well. The iRocker website mentions that the user should be 5’10 or shorter and we’re really not sure why. Our tester is 6’1 and 195 lbs and he did just fine on the board. iRocker states that the board can hold riders up to 370 lbs.

Our grading system is as follows:

ABILITIES

1. Stability

2. Glide/Tracking

3. Maneuverability

Stability - The All-Around 10 is quite stable for those who are below 220 lbs, or who are experienced paddlers We took the board out to a bay near us and had a novice, intermediate and expert paddler all spend some time on the board. Our largest paddler was 6’4, 245 lbs and he found the board to be quite stable.

Glide/Tracking - For a fairly lightweight, inflatable SUP the All-Around 10 tracks quite crisply – about what you would expect from a 6-inch thick board. The board comes with 3 snap-in fins which help the board track in a straight line. It’s not the fastest board around but it doesn’t feel sluggish.

Maneuverability – By dropping the weight 20% over last year by using a triple composite PVC composite vs quad-layer that they use in their higher-end boards. Although the board is still a bit heavy, you can definitely get the nose out of the water for quick turns by stomping on the tail.

BOARD DESIGN/SHAPE

The All-Around 10 is your classic shaped versatile SUP. These designs pay homage to the longboard designs of the 1960s. It’s designed for use in all types of waterways. As the company name implies, the All-Around has an aggressive rocker in the nose. The slightly pointy nose helps the board cut through chop.

The D Rings are distributed well throughout the board for attaching accessories. The deck pad is fairly comfy on the feet.

The All-Around 10 is easy on the eyes as well. With 3 distinct colors and two designs, there is a look for just about everyone.

FINS

The All-Around 10 comes with 2 snap inside fins as well as a snap-in center fin. We had hoped for a standard US fin box to make purchasing replacement fins easier but iRocker assures us that this hasn’t been an issue with their customers.

We do like the idea of snap-in fins but the reality can often mean lost fins while out on a long paddle which creates challenges when trying to paddle back in.

ACCESSORIES

iRocker includes a nice paddle with a carbon shaft and an ABS blade as well as a leash. They do offer a variety of add-on accessories for purchase like a kayak seat and carry strap. They also offer cooler bags and cup holders.

CONCLUSION

As its name implies, the All-Around 10 is great for paddlers that are looking for a board that can be used for flat water, rivers, and oceans. We were impressed with the tracking and maneuverability of the board. Although iRocker is still considered an upstart in the world of SUP, it has made great strides over the last couple of years
